1 Timothy 2:5-8

For there is one God, and one mediator (intercessor) between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Who gave himself a ransom* for all, to be testified in due time.

  • (*G487 ἀντίλυτρον antilutron (an-tiy’-lï-tron) n. a redemption-price, ransom. [from G473 and G3083] in addition to (i.e. additionally recompense in like manner). Reparation for a wrong or injury. To clarify this teaching the reader must return to Torah and the 5 Olah of Leviticus chapters 1-5 {available at Bereanbreadcrumbs.com})

Whereunto I am ordained* a preacher**, and an apostle***, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith (firm persuasion) and verity (truth).

  • (*G5087 τίθημι tithemi (tiy’-thee-miy) v. bow, commit, kneel down, lay (aside, down, up), purpose, put, set (forth), settle, sink down. **G2783 κήρυξ kerux (kee’-rïx) n. a proclaimer, a herald. one who announces or declares.*** G652 ἀπόστολος apostolos (a-po’-sto-los) n. a delegate. (specially) an ambassador of the Gospel.)

It is here that I question the lofty position that is either bestowed upon, or expected by, those that occupy the pulpit. It appears antithetical to the writings here by Paul. Paul sees it as a position of servitude of YHVHB and not servitude towards men in their earthly needs. The pulpit occupants have turned this work into a 501C3 to fill the bodily needs over the spiritual needs.

I will (resolve) therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath (anger/indignation) and doubting (debate).

  1. Amen! They sold the assemblies into slavery to the government for thirty pieces of silver. Their heirarchy was established with the Roman Church and, until it is denounced, believers must remove themselves from these Pharisees and false teacher institutions.
