1 Timothy 2:1-4

I exhort (request, implore) therefore, that, first of all, supplications (bind, betroth), prayers, intercessions (entreat with favor), and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings (emperors, rulers), and for all that are in authority (leadership); that we may lead a quiet (tranquil) and peaceable (steadfast hold on) life in all godliness* and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

  • (note here that Paul is telling us that YHVH is the originator of Salvation. That is why the name of Yeshua is literally “Yah is my salvation”.
  • John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Who will have* all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge (full discernment) of the truth.
