The air pushes hard in whatever direction it chooses, you can hear its tone, but you cannot see it path or its position. In this same way, people are regenerated by YHVH.”
Romans 9:15 “For He tells Moses: I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
I feel like there is something more to this verse. It could say “The Spirit of YHVH pushes hard in whomever He chooses and you can hear his tone. (conviction, preaching) There is no outward physical evidence to his position. (He/she isn’t someone to be exalted.) This is one to ponder deeper.

Yeshua is trying to explain salvation of the human race outside of the sacrificial system. That YHVH has the sole ability to free men from the bondage of sin equating to death. The Pharisees saw this as their role and as such they went by the golden rule. That being he who has the gold makes the rules.
