Exodus 2:16-17 ” Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.”
This is a picture of Messiah: rise up or resurrect, save them, and provide living water of the Holy Spirit
YHVH is very very protective of His people! In the days of Jeremiah we see the “religious” becoming “spiritual”, in that, they begin to add in the worship of other gods to the Temple. This displeases YHVH greatly and He warns them of their fate in captivity.
Jeremiah 23:1-4 “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord. Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord. And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.
As with everything in the Bible that we call revelation, we will see this played out again. in fact, I believe we are seeing this played out in our current day. After studying the ‘Fracturing the Faith’ series it becomes even more obvious. YHVH tells us in Ezekiel that he will find us.
Ezekiel 34:6 “My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.
Ezekiel 34:11-14 “For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.”
Ezekiel 34:30 “Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord God.”
Even after scattering the people from the land we see that YHVH knows exactly who His people are and when they are. The phrase “10 lost tribes” is a bit of a misnomer as they are only lost to the perception of humanity.
The warning against false teaching comes again to the people when Yeshua declares to the people in the Gospel of John.
John 10:1-14 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”
I would challenge you to look at the state of “Christianity” today and ask yourself a few questions….
Are the seminary trained preachers today a product of the Greco-Roman philosophy the produced the college/university structure?
Are the doctrines of the seminaries based on the foundations of the Roman Catholic Councils that dominated the 3rd and 4th centuries and introduced pagan rituals with faith in YHVH?
Have the people settled for the ‘hireling” because they have been told they are safe from the wolf? and do they really know how to fend off the wolf when the preacher runs off?
