John 5:37-47

They did not listen to the Prophets and as such they cannot recognize Yeshua for who he is…. the Messiah.

39 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

He is exposing their desire to continue in the sacrificial system whereby the enforce their own control. They will not submit to the authority of Yeshua.

40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

41 I receive not honour from men.

42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.

43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Yeshua is describing not only their actions, but too, the actions of the church today. The church is steeped in their own authorities on the scriptures they fail to see what YHVH has ordained. The church is convinced the minds of men like Scofield, Tyndale, Shafer, Origen and Darby should be followed and not the actual words of YHVH in the Torah.

44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

In the series “Fracturing the Faith” you will find the early 1st century church doing this same thing. Origen exalts Eusebius who returns the exaltation, all in the effort to create church doctrine.

45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

The Torah, which means instructions, have all the commands of YHVH, who is Yeshua!

46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.

Moses told them what Yeshua commanded his people to do as a holy nation. Yet they diverted to the writings of men in the Midrash and the Talmud. The church today has diverted to the writings of the aforementioned men that created all the “Ism’s” that broke up the faith in YHVH into 40,000+ doctrines of men.

47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
