My experience of the winter solstice/ Christmas practice is as follows:
1. I was lied to repeatedly by those I trusted about a mystical figure.
2. Further coercion techniques were used to gain compliance and behavior modification based on this fictitious system.
3. When the truth was discovered I was taught to perpetuate the lie in order to preserve the history and heritage of the fictional character.
4. This wasn’t the end of the deception… the church joined in and justified the “elf” as a representation of the true Messiah.
This has to be the epitome of blasphemy.
Here is the question…. How does this behavior measure up to scripture?
“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”
Matthew 18:3-6
