Consider this… 12.19.2021 edition

Genesis 38 tells us “they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day..”

Couple things jump out to me first of all but you can “hear a voice walking” is very intriguing and a topic for another ‘consider this’ edition…

For consideration today is the idea that God was walking hand-in-hand with Adam and Eve …the question becomes for what purpose?

Paul tells us in Romans 5:14, “ nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adams transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. “

What he is saying here is that God walked with Adam to teach him how to live as a man among many people. This is what the modern church calls “the law.” And in truth, what the Bible describes as “the Scriptures” .. or the instructions or what is called by the Hebrew people, the Torah!

This is the exact same description of God and his character …when he teaches Moses the same exact instructions that he taught Adam.

The meaning of the word Deuteronomy is “the second telling of the instructions.” Can it be more obvious than that? The answer may surprise you!

Immediately following the sermon on the mount… Jesus proclaims in Matthew 5:17 .. “ Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the Prophets but I am here to fulfill them”…

Here’s the part most people miss the word fulfill does not mean to complete or empty ….it means to teach, to example, or to show something.

So once again God comes this time to the world in the form of mankind to teach us the instructions on how to live among many people. The exact same instruction that Moses gave the people …that Adam was given by God… and taught by our Messiah ..that being the Torah!

Why do religious organizations refuse to teach Torah?
