Matthew 4:17 “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Yeshua is the manifestation of YHVH encapsulated in Flesh. He is explaining that THE One in front of them controls the access to eternity.
Matthew 5:20 “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
The Scribes and Pharisees were teaching in the synagogue the exact words of the Torah; outside the synagogue they were enslaving the people in a hierarchical man-made religion. This religion was devoid of the truth of Yeshua being that previously mentioned flesh covered expression of YHVH. The converse is true in the origins of the Roman Catholic church. The RCC is wrought with hierarchy and man-made lies titled as ‘canon’ or sacred.
Before any of the so-called evangelicals run amuck, consider your origins as “protestants”. The only thing they protested was the popery, and rightfully so, yet you retained 90%+ of the Catholic beliefs. Christmas and Easter are PAGAN!
