Bab-El

Genesis 11:9 “Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.”

The original name was Bav-el or ‘the city of God’. Eventually, it’s meaning got changed to reflect what happened there; and the word Babel came to mean confusion.

The second half of Psalm 2 is found here after the scattering of the heathen and their attempt to rule. Psalm 2:6-12 “Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”

We today, are in that generation that is actively reincarnating what Nimrod tried to do…… to bind all the world into one people, under one rule, and one ruler…..a man. And, large segments of the “church” are blindly leading the way preaching tolerance, world harmony, peace at any price, and the end of Torah such that instead we should trust the goodness of our hearts.
