Romans 2:14-15

Romans 2:14-15 “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:  Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another”

The Greek word Gentile is G1484 ἔθνος ethnos (eth’-nos) n. a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe. Likewise the Hebrew word for Gentile is H1471 גּוֹי gowy (go’-ee) n-m. a foreign nation. So we can derive that the use of this word presents two forms of ‘gowy’, those that were not of Israelite lineage, and those that were of Israelite lineage and forced out of the land because of disbelief [willful violation of Torah] during the time of Daniel.

When the natural born Israelite willfully denied the Torah he became foreign to YHVH and performed habits contrary to the Word of God. Verse 14 now reads in context:

“For when the other nations and tribes, which do not have the Torah instructions, do things that naturally show consideration for others, without the Torah to teach them, they are doing these things because they have instructed each other in civility. This civility is a social construct to monitor and measure behavior. This is the evidence that man was made to accept the instruction of Torah in their “likeness” to YHVH’s image, yet they take it upon themselves to justify or condemn the level of morality of others.”

Civil disobedience is then met with justice from the people. Survival of America’s representative democracy is this: “government of the people, by the people, for the people”. This is ultimately making yourself supreme and nullifying the supremacy of YHWH.

• 1 Samuel 15:11 “It repenteth [to pity, to sigh heavily] me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the Lord all night.”

Proverbs 14:12 tells us, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” This is so profound that it is repeated in Proverbs 16.25 This is the downfall of man living in a “spirit lead” frame of mind only, we are in desperate need of the truth.This is the express reason John writes to us about truth, in John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” Yeshua defines this for us in John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word [Torah] is truth.”

There are often deceitful spirits that are attempting to lead us away from the truth of God. 1 Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”

• John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
• Psalm 40:8 “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law [Torah] is within my heart.”
• Psalm 119:34 “Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law [Torah]; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”

Satan originally got between Adam and Eve’s relationship to each other in order to get between their relationships to YHWH. Once he accomplished this he convinced them to disobey YHWH’s instructions and nothing has changed since that day. Satan not only uses evil to derail us, he will use religions to convince humanity to deny the instructions of YHWH, and then Satan actually proclaims it as the “true faith”.

• Daniel 7:25 “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
