In speaking with a friend of mine they made a suggestion about the flow and verbage of the posts made here. Their suggestion was to insert the proper word, as defined by the Strong’s into the text and making note at the bottom of the post.
Below I will make an example of this:
A.] Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished (H1431 גָּדַל gadal (gaw-dal’) v. to make large.) and brought up (H7311 רוּם ruwm (room) v. to exalt, enrich) children (H1121 בָּנִים baniym (ba-neem’) [plural] the Hebrew nation), and they have rebelled against me. (H6586 פָּשַׁע pasha` (paw-shah’) v. to break away, trespass (from just authority)
B.] Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have made you large(1), and exalted and enriched (2) the Hebrew nation (3), and they have broken away from my authority.(4)
- 1. H1431 גָּדַל gadal (gaw-dal’) v. to make large.
- 2. H7311 רוּם ruwm (room) v. to exalt, enrich
- 3. H1121 בָּנִים baniym (ba-neem’) [plural] the Hebrew nation
- 4. H6586 פָּשַׁע pasha` (paw-shah’) v. to break away, trespass (from just authority
Here is another:
A.] Oh! sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity (H5771 עָוֹן `avon (aw-vone’) n-m. penalty for depravity.), a seed (H2233 זֶרַע zera` (zeh’-rah) n-m. child) of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked (H5006 נָאַץ na’ats (naw-ats’) v. to scorn.) the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away (H2114 זוּר zuwr (zoor) v. to be a foreigner, strange, profane.) backward. (H268 אָחוֹר ‘achowr (aw-chore’) subv. Become without, empty)
B.] Oh! sinful nation, a people laden with the penalty for depravity (1), Children (2) of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have scorned (3) the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they have become a foreigner, stranger, profane.(4) and empty. (5)
- H5771 עָוֹן `avon (aw-vone’) n-m. penalty for depravity.
- H2233 זֶרַע zera` (zeh’-rah) n-m. child
- H5006 נָאַץ na’ats (naw-ats’) v. to scorn.
- H2114 זוּר zuwr (zoor) v. to be a foreigner, strange, profane.
- H268 אָחוֹר ‘achowr (aw-chore’) subv. Become without, empty
