While Satan has a throttle hold on the things of this world currently, it is not going to last much longer. Satan tried to tempt Yeshua with the kingdoms of the world and He did not fall for it. Mankind on the other hand, not so.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord (Jerusalem), to the house (temple) of the God of Jacob (Israel); and he will teach us of his ways (H1870 דֶּרֶךְ derek (deh’-rek) n-m. a course of life or mode of action), and we will walk (carry out) in his paths (manner): for out of Zion shall go forth the law (torah), and the word (royal edict) of the Lord (YHVH) from Jerusalem.
4 And he shall judge (H8199 שָׁפַט shaphat (shaw-fat’) v. to govern) among the nations, and shall rebuke (correct) many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks (a return to the actions found in the garden): nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5 O house of Jacob (Israel), come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
- Matthew 15:24 “But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
- Hebrews 8:10 “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws (G3551 νόμος nomos (no’-mos) n. the Torah) into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:”
6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished (made full) from the east (land of the mysteries religions), and are soothsayers (magicians, to obscure) like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children (fruit, produce) of strangers.(idolatry)
7 Their land also is full of silver (H3701 כֶּסֶף keceph (keh’-sef) n-m. money) and gold (H2091 זָהָב zahab (zaw-hawɓ’) n-m. (figuratively) golden, or a clear, sunny sky), neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses (H5483 סוּס cuwc (soos) n-m. [from an unused root meaning to skip (properly, for joy)], neither is there any end of their chariots:
(They seem to have everything it takes to make a person comfortable and happy in the flesh.)
8 Their land also is full of idols (H457 אֱלִיל ‘eliyl (el-eel’) adj. good for nothing.); they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9 And the mean man (one producing blood) boweth down, and the great man humbleth (H8213 שָׁפֵל shaphel (shaw-fale’) v.to humiliate) himself: therefore forgive them not.
10 Enter into the rock (cliff), and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.
- Revelation 6:15-16 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:”
11 The lofty looks (pride) of man shall be humbled (humiliated), and the haughtiness (elevation, status) of men shall be bowed down (made low), and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
12 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
- Romans 14:11 “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
Once we realize that the “new testament” is emptied when we dismiss the “old testament” as “what was” and not “what is”, will we come to the truth of the Kingdom of God.
The “new testament” brings forth the promise of hope in Yeshua (Yah is my salvation).
Hebrews 8:10 comes from Jeremiah 31:31-33 and Romans 14:11 is a quote of Isaiah 45:23. Paul was, after all, a Pharisee, well-versed in the only Scripture of his day.
