Fracturing the faith Vol. 3
Recruiting, Basic Training and War
We live in a world under the curse of sin. Genesis 3:17 “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake.” According to the book of Jubilees the fall of man in the Garden occurred in the 8th year of creation whereas the flood of Noah is approximately 1640 years later. This was ample time to lay the foundations of many false gods and goddesses.
Genesis 6 has received a lot of focus as to its true meaning since the discovery of the Book of Enoch with the Dead Sea Scrolls: “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
The book of Enoch describes the disobedience of the “bene’ Ha Elohim” or sons of God in greater detail. Enoch 1, chapter 6, merges seamlessly with Genesis 6 and Jubilees, describing this fall of angels referred to as the Watchers (chief princes). “And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: ‘Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children. And these are the names: Sêmîazâz, their leader; Arâkîba, Râmêêl, Kôkabîêl, Tâmîêl, Râmîêl, Dânêl, Êzêqêêl, Barâqîjâl, Asâêl, Armârôs, Batârêl, Anânêl, Zaqîêl, Samsâpêêl, Satarêl, Tûrêl, Jômjâêl, Sariêl. These are their chiefs of tens.”
As the text states these giants, the offspring of sinful children of heaven, were “in the earth in those days; and also after that”. We can get further confirmation of this in Deuteronomy 2:20 “That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims.” There are 36 tribal names given in Scripture for the giants. Their defiance of YHWH and their wicked behavior are just a couple of reasons for the strong words YHWH uses against them. Deuteronomy 20:17 “But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:” Also in the book of Joshua 11:21 “And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.”
To assure these tyrannical rulers’ information (enlightenment) would survive the flood, the Watchers or the Nephilim, (possibly both) scribed their hostile activities in clay and stone which Noah’s grandson discovered according to Jubilees. The most famous accounts are the Babylonian Epic of Creation, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and the Enuma Elish. Throughout history from the post-flood world until Rome, the same gods and goddesses were worshipped throughout the world.
Marduk rose from an obscure deity in the third millennium BCE to become one of the most important gods and the head of the Mesopotamian pantheon. He was the patron god of the city of Babylon, where his temple tower, the ziggurat Etemenanki “Temple was considered the foundation of the heavens and the earth” (the famous “tower of Babel.”) In the first millennium, he was often referred to as Ba’al, the Akkadian word for “Lord.” Marduk is also identified with Jupiter.
“The Babylonian Epic of Creation” states the god Marduk battled the goddess Tiamat, the deified ocean, representing the ‘female principle’, whereas Marduk stands for the male principle. Marduk killed Tiamat, and created the world from her body (Mother Earth). In gratitude the other gods bestowed 50 names upon Marduk and select him to be their head.
In Enûma Elish, a civil war between the gods grew to a climactic battle. The Anunnaki gods gathered together to find one god who could defeat the gods rising against them. Marduk, a very young god, answered the call and was promised the position of head god.
The “Code of Hammurabi” was a collection of “laws” issued by Hammurabi (r. 1792-1750 BCE) the most famous king of the first dynasty of Babylon. In the prologue, Hammurabi mentions that the gods Anu and Enlil determined for Marduk to receive the “Enlil-ship” (stewardship) of all the people, and with this elevated him into the highest echelons of the Mesopotamian pantheon.
These events are mirrored in the scriptures in Genesis 14 “And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations; That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar. All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea. Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled. And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emins in Shaveh Kiriathaim, And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which is by the wilderness. And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar. And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim; With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.”
Chedorlaomer is a transliteration of the Elamite compound Kudur-Lagamar, meaning servant of Lagamaru. This Elamite deity was also known as the Mesopotamian goddesses Isnikarap, Ishtar, and Nanna. Their counterpart was the Akkadian god Ninurta and the Sumerian god of hunting and war. According to Sumerian mythology, Ninurta slayed each of the monsters later known as the “Slain Heroes” (the Warrior Dragon, the Palm Tree King, Lord Saman-ana, the Bison-beast, the Mermaid, the Seven-headed Snake, the Six-headed Wild Ram). This very same legend is given by the Persians as Nergal, the Greeks as Hercules, and the Romans as Saturn. Nergal was sometimes called a demon and even identified with Satan. According to Collin de Plancy and Johann Weyer, Nergal was depicted as the chief of Hell’s “secret police”, and worked as “an honorary spy in the service of Beelzebub”.
Chapter 8 of Enoch details the efforts of the fallen/Annunaki: “And Azâzêl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals〈of the earth〉and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl, (taught) astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Ezêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, 〈Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun〉, and Sariêl the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven.”
Eventually YHWH has had enough of the disobedience of the fallen/Annunaki and issues the following: “And the Lord said unto Michael: ‘Go,bind Semjâzâ and his associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves with them in all their uncleanness. And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is for ever and ever is consummated.”
Not only does this provide credence to the earthly writings of the ‘gods’ having access back and forth to the underworld, it connects all the world’s polytheistic religions to demons. The Bible corroborates the actions of these demons in Genesis 15:16 When YHWH tells Abraham: “But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.” The various names of the fallen/Annunaki correlate with the tribal offspring they created, thirty six in all.
