Revelation 14:6 “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.”

Anything jump out to you? … the everlasting gospel …. that caught my eye!

Mr. Webster defined this word ‘everlasting’ as… enduring through all time : ETERNAL or indefinitely, tediously persistent.

What a beautiful way to look at our God and the Savior! He IS tediously persistent!

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Aren’t you glad He is tediously persistent. I am. On now to this tediously persistent gospel. Isaiah prophesied of coming of the Savior… Chapter 11 verse ten…. “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.”

If this is an everlasting gospel it had to be in place before Isaiah? The promise had to have been already made if Isaiah is shouting about it…

Deuteronomy 18:18 “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”

And Jesus does exactly what was prophesied…

  • Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
  • John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

But that promise had to be in place before Moses too… I mean if this is really everlasting right…

Genesis 1 King James Version (KJV)
1 In the beginning* God created the heaven and the earth.
*H7225 רֵאשִׁית Be-re’shiyth (Bet ray-sheeth’) n-f. 1. the first, in place, time, order or rank.

The word “beginning” or Be-re’shyit contains the Hebrew letters Bet, Resh, Aleph, Shin, Yod and Tav. These were pictographic letters with each creating their own word. These words are often compared to our compound words like “goodhearted” or “soft-spoken” only a little more complex.

The word ‘beginning’ here is translated by the individual Hebrew letters thusly; Bet is Tent/house, Resh is head/father, Aleph means leader, Shin is a set of fangs/teeth meaning piercing, Yod is a hand/arm and Tav is a set of Crossed sticks.

The full understanding of the word ‘beginning’ is now, “The head of the house of the Father, pierced by the hand, on a cross, to bring the covenant.”

This is explained to us in Isaiah 46:10 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”

God is telling us that He will send Yeshua Messiah, The LAMB of GOD, to redeem the world from the very first word in Scripture!

Revelation 5:5-9King James Version

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David [son of Jesse], hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

If the Gospel is everlasting… so is the Word of God which IS his Torah. John 1:1
