The modern era ‘church’ has long ascribed to the idea that somehow, some way, Jesus’ death and resurrection put and end to the Torah. Oft quoted and yet not understood are the words of Paul to the Colossians…
Colossians 2:14 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”
Why do I say that they (church) have it misinterpreted? Who had handwritten ordinances? Who made up their own way of doing things? MEN!
Proverbs 6:23 “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life”
Isaiah 51:4 “Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
