What is your Character …Part 2

In my former life I was just as Proverbs describes… clueless.

Proverbs 30:2-3 “Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.”

This was a life of futility and emptiness, just as Paul describes. I continually chased after the things of this world.
1 Corinthians 1:20-21 “Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

Fortunately for me, the Creator of the universe spoke, through the preaching of another flawed human, and I listened. Why? Verse 27 tells it plainly.

1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”

Now that I have the platform for the message what do I do with it? How do I gain the wisdom and knowledge of YHVH and His character? Look at Proverbs 30:4….

Proverbs 30:4 “Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?”

While John answers this in his gospel…. John 3:13 “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Does Proverbs 30:4 answer this too? Let’s look at the Hebrew…

מִי עָלָֽה־שָׁמַיִם וַיֵּרַד מִי אָֽסַף־רוּחַ בְּחָפְנָיו מִי צָֽרַר־מַיִם בַּשִּׂמְלָה מִי הֵקִים כָּל־אַפְסֵי־אָרֶץ מַה־שְּׁמֹו וּמַֽה־שֶּׁם־בְּנֹו כִּי תֵדָֽע׃

Beginning with the yod in the word ‘who’ in the phrase “who made all the ends of the earth rise?” and counting in 22 letter intevals, from right to left, it will spell: “Yeshuwa shai” which means … Yeshuwa the Gift!

When you are out of answers, and searching…..you can feel the pressure mounting….and out of nowhere someone drops the answer to your dilemma right in your lap….what amazement overcomes you!

The gift of salvation (from the first lesson) and the beauty of creating the best for mankind (Eden=Heaven). This is the character of YHVH!
