The early church

The Nazarenes of the first century called themselves “The Way”. They accepted the entire Tenakh (Old Testament), however, they didn’t believe doing so was necessary for salvation. Rather, their motivation was to imitate Yeshua, who, during his life and all of his ministry was a fully Torah observant Hebrew.

What would Jesus do?

Answer – follow Torah.

  1. Minute correction with a big impact: the first century apostles and company called themselves Followers of The Way. The religious leaders called them the Nazarenes as did the Holy Roman Church at least until the Nicean Council. Interesting that the religious leaders who did not walk as Yeshua walked all denigrated so horribly the group which did. Shalom!
