John 14:6 ~ “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Think about these words for just a minute.
Can you define them? Does the Bible define them?
Psalm 103:7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.Psalm 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.Deuteronomy 5:3 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess .Psalm 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.Malachi 2:6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips.Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law (Torah) is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
It is easy to see that the law of YHVH is the way, the truth and the life. Yeshua is the word made flesh.
John 1:14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Did Yeshua change the way of living for Christians? Let’s ask him….
Matthew 5:17 “Don’t think that I have come to abolish the law (Torah) or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete.
John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
Proverbs 4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.(Torah)
He even warns the disciples ….
Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
What do the disciples teach….
1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.(Torah) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.(Torah)For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law (Torah) through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Yeshua became our Great High Priest so he could offer himself as the perfect sacrifice.
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
What sin was he taking away?
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:(Torah) for sin is the transgression of the law.(Torah)Isaiah 24:5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, (Torah) changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
What happened after a person received grace directly for Yeshua?
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more.John 8:10-11 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Yeshua gave the gift of grace which is salvation, then He instructed them to live life according to the Torah. This is how one is to “work out their salvation with fear and trembling.”
You have received salvation now live your life with respect to the Fathers instructions.
