Imagine driving down a county road and you do not witness a speed limit sign …at all…. So you decide that the safest and most productive speed to travel is 60 after all there are no curves and pavement is very stable… what say you now…. all is well?

The next thing to happen is a county sheriff pulls in behind you with sirens ablaze and pulls you over ….asking you what youre doing?

Albeit you have safely traversed several miles of roadway and no harm has befallen you or others around you, the officer states there are statutes in place requiring motorists to adhere to a 40 mile per hour speed limit and that the ordinance is in plain view within the text of the drivers manual.

He politely tell you you have broken the the law and issues you a ticket and subsequent fine. The penalty of law dispersed and a reminder that ignorance of the law is no excuse for not adhering to its demands.

What say you now?

I ask my self this same said question about the Laws of God….. despite my ability to discern various paths to traverse in this world and my ability to evaluate safety, when I choose the speed at which I conduct my life without the regard for the clearly stated ordinances of the Creator …..I fail to meet the requirements for His plan of proper travel in this life.

I recognize that I have the Perfect Advocate in the Messiah Yeshua AND I have come to realize that ‘ignorance of the law is no excuse’ …..

Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

First let me say that I am a mere human being that was born into a sinful nature and only by the grace of God almighty and the salvation found in Jesus Christ will I be found acceptable. I pray that you take my words as one weary travelers discoveries and that my intentions are not point fingers at any one denomination or belief system. My life experience has shown me the detailed workings of the Protestant Church to include my participation in seminary and collegiate Bible training, the complete catechism of the Catholic Church and a review of the Quran. None of these were capable of answering many nagging questions concerning the scriptures. After 40 years of "church life" I stopped following the crowds and began a study of the scriptures in the original Hebrew and Greek. Paralleling events in history with the scriptures and deciphering the effect of these events on the lives and theology of the believers. I pray that the information provided here has a three fold effect: 1. provide truth not otherwise provided by the corporate church experience 2. Answer questions that others are either afraid to ask or afraid to answer, and last but not least, 3. bring people to a saving relationship and closer walk with YHVH.
