There are many things in life that cause pain from cutting teeth, to surgery, to getting in an accident. There are pains that are said to be good pains like growth spurts, labor pains and the pain from lifting weights.
What about the pains that creep into our hearts? These seem to be the most damaging to the one experiencing pain as well as all that they come into contact.
The doctors remedy for many of the physical conditions will be a pain killer. This usually makes the affected area feel less of the pain and in some cases it becomes completely numb, again what about the pain we feel in our heart?
The Bible says in Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Jesus came to earth so we could be numb…. not without feeling…but ….
