Isaiah 1:18-23 … Purity in Yeshua

Purity in Yeshua

18 Come now, and let us reason (H3198 יָכחַ yakach (yaw-kach’) v. to decide, justify or convict.) together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

  • Psalm 22:1-6 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? (1)
  • O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. But I am a worm*, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
  1. Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

*H8438 תּוֹלָע towla` (to-law’) n-m. the crimson-grub, but used only {in this connection} of the color from it, and cloths dyed therewith. Usually in the Bible, the Hebrew word for a worm is “rimmah”, which means a maggot – but the Hebrew word Jesus used here for worm, is Towla.

  • The Crimson worm [coccus ilicis] is a very special worm that looks more like a grub than a worm. When it is time for the female to have babies, which she does only once in her life, she willingly climbs the trunk of a Kermes Oak tree and attaches her body. In the same way Yeshua willingly took up the cross, once for our salvation, and producing an offspring for the Father.
  • The worm then secretes a crimson, or deep red fluid which creates a hard shell of protection for the babies. This fluid will leave a permanent stain on the tree. After the worm has attached herself and laid her eggs there is a 3 day period in which the head and the tail of the mother worm encompass the eggs forming the shape of a heart.
  • In order for the offspring to escape the shell becomes white like snow and softens. This is a natural shellac that now preserves the tree.

19 If ye be willing (H14 אָבָה ‘abah (aw-ɓaw’) v. to breathe after.) and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel (H4784 מָרָה marah (maw-raw’) v. to be bitter or unpleasant)., ye shall be devoured (consumed) with the sword:( H2719 חֶרֶב chereb (cheh’-reɓ) n-f. a cutting instrument from its destructive effect.) for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

  • Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.)

21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! (H2181 זָנָה zanah (zaw-naw’) v. to commit idolatry) it was full of judgment (H4941 מִשׁפָּט mishpat (mish-pawt’) n-m. the act, crim or suit AND its punishment.); righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. (They once were good citizens but are not now.)

22 Thy silver (cost or price) is become dross (refuse, trashed), thy wine (doctrine) mixed with water: (H4325 מַיִם mayim = pey [scatter] yod [worship] mem [chaos])

23 Thy princes (heads of state-leaders) are rebellious (turning away), and companions of thieves (deceivers): every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

  • John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

  1. This is all about obedience. Let us reason together. Yehovah is willing to discuss the matter so that we will understand. When we live in our parents’ home, we follow their rules. To live in our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom, we must live by rules, too. Yeshua paid the debt due for breaking the Covenant, renewing the Covenant, and our response is supposed to be to do as He did: which is to live the commands. He is the prophet Moses spoke of: the one we are to hear and obey. 1 John 3:4 tells us what sin is and it’s not taught by Churchianity and Judaism. Yehovah doesn’t change, so he still wants our obedience. And, when we fail, we have a great high priest in the heavenlies (see Hebrews) as our mediator, a much better mediator than the priesthood instituted by Yehovah after the Covenant was broken. It was only to show that the debt of death was still due until Messiah came. AlleluYah!
