Namely What … part 7
Evil-Lotan (evolution) and Islam….
This could actually part 6B due to the intense depth of Esau’s offspring, likewise , a part 8 may be more like a 6C. And based on the content three 6’s probably makes the most sense.
Picking up where we left off last, verses 20 to 22 of Genesis:
“These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal (overflowing), and Zibeon (variegated), and Anah, And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom. And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna. ”
Śēʻîr, “Rough, hairy”. It is sometimes used as an alternative term for a goat, as in Seir La’Azazel [שעיר לעזאזל – scapegoat]. Seir = “Prince” in Ancient Egyptian, a name used by the Egyptians to refer the god of the dead, known to the Greeks as Osiris. The term “Seir” was also used by the Egyptians to refer to the constellation Orion, which was considered to be a representation of the god Osiris in the heavens. Again, Seir is the “prince of Hell” referred to in demonology.
Lotan in Hebrew means ‘veil’ or ‘covering’. In Ugaritic (Ur) it means ‘coiled’. Lotan was a sea monster in Canaanite mythology, similar to as Leviathan in Hebrew mythology. Lotan seems to have been prefigured by Têmtum, the serpent killed by the benevolent storm god Hadad in Syrian seals of the 18th–16th century BC. We will meet Hadad in the next section.
In the Baal Cycle discovered in the ruins of Ugarit, Lotan is a servant of the sea god Yammu and is defeated by the benevolent storm god Baʿal. The Baal Cycle’s description of Lotan is directly paralleled by a passage in the later Apocalypse of Isaiah, in which Yahweh fights Leviathan or Lotan. This same description is in our Bible: Revelation 12:3-4 “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”
The next verse is of particular interest to me, you may well find it to be worth noting too. This reveals the coming age of Islam and the direct correlation to Satan. Genesis 36:22 “And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan (lofty: the root of this name is H5927 עָלָה `alah (aw-law’) v. to ascend. Or 2.moral perverseness), and Manahath (to dwell, stay or rest), and Ebal (to bare, naked), Shepho (bareness), and Onam (strong).”
We can see the pronunciation of ‘Alvan’ is the same as the Islamic word ‘Allah’. Grammarians of The Basra School claims the definite form of Allāh derives from the verbal root ‘lyh’ with the meaning of “lofty” or “hidden”. The second Hebrew definition of the name completes the idea that this is none other than Satan.
Isaiah 14:12-15 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.’ Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”
According to Marshall Hodgson, it seems that in the pre-Islamic times, some Arab Christians made pilgrimage to the Kaaba, a pagan temple at that time, honoring Allah there as God the Creator. Hodgson (April 11, 1922 – June 10, 1968), was an Islamic studies academic and a world historian at the University of Chicago. “The Kaaba” is a building at the center of Islam’s most sacred mosque, Al-Masjid al-Haram, in Mecca, al-Hejaz, Saudi Arabia. It is the most sacred site in Islam. Hubal (Arabic: هبل) was a moon god worshipped in pre-Islamic Arabia, notably at the Kaaba in Mecca.
Keeping your notes handy, as we look at the next set of verses, in Genesis 36:24-26 “And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah (scream or hawk), and Anah (scream or hawk): this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father. And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah. And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan (pleasant), and Eshban (growth), and Ithran (excel), and Cheran (pronounced “ker-awn”). The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan (to terrify), and Zaavan (to agitate), and Akan (tortuous).”
The Quran/Koran speaks of this in Surah 9:29 “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (Mohammed), nor acknowledge the religion of Truth (Islam) , even if they are of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya (tax/penalty) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”
It is no longer shocking to me the fact that the terrorists behave the way they do. Look at the names and it is more than evident why they do the things they do.
Genesis 36:28-31 “The children of Dishan are these; Uz (consultation), and Aran (shout of triump). These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah, Duke Dishon (leaper), duke Ezer (store up treasure), duke Dishan (leaper): these are the dukes that came of Hori (cavity, cave), among their dukes in the land of Seir. And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.”
In “The Comprehensive Commentary on the Holy Bible” it is written: “Throughout almost the whole of Hebrew history Uz or Idumea was regarded by the Jews in the same light of elegance and accomplishment, as Greece by the Romans, and Teman, the native city of Eliphaz, as the Athens of Arabia Petrea”. The Temanites were famed for their wisdom and yet YHVH does not see them that way.
Jeremiah 49:20-22 “Therefore hear the counsel of the Lord, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them. The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea. Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.”
And as I suspected we move to part 8 or 6C….
