Romans 2:1-11 – lawlessness

Romans 2:1-11 – lawlessness

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

(The circumcision party is equally incapable of fulfilling the instructions/commands of God.)

But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

God is consistent, unchanging and so too are His commands. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob [Israel] are not consumed.” Matthew 15:24 “But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Numbers 14:18 “The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.” 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

What are we repenting from? The polytheistic ways of the world. What are we turning to? It has to be the instructions of YHWH…..what Christianity calls the law.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

(In the mind, under the replacement doctrine of man, you believe you are not under the commandments and thus free from any wrath.)

Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

1 Corinthians 9:24 “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”  Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”

But unto them that are contentious (a faction), and do not obey the truth (Torah), but obey unrighteousness (lawlessness), indignation and wrath,

Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first (natural born Israelite), and also of the Gentile; (all other nations)

10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, (natural born Israelite) and also to the Gentile: (all other nations)

11 For there is no respect of persons with God. (HE does not differentiate; there will be one measure by which all men will be measured.)
