The age of false prophets has become a way of life for far too many people. These wolves are devouring the masses, and the really sad part is, the masses are now offering themselves up willingly.
It is the perfect trap, weak minded and untrained in the ways of heaven, humans encounter Satan as he enters the Earth and unleashes heavenly power on mere sheep (mankind). Unable to compete with the magnitude of Satan and his minions, bent on destruction, the sheeple (people=sheep) fall to the idea that man was not at the heart of the most powerful God of the universe.
In like manner, the sheeple today are unwilling to look past the giants in their life and focus on the King of all Kings and accept the pure and simple design of the Gospel. They over complicate the church, worship, learning and life with the same confusion and temptation as the apple, to be “like” God.
‘Like” , unlike the facebook click, is also defined as : the same or nearly the same (as in appearance, character, or quantity) <suits of like design> —formerly used with as, unto, of <it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren — Heb 2:17 (even the biblical ref. was online at Websters Dictionary!)
The Devils deception isnt always 100% opposite of God’s design, it only need be off by a fraction. Just enough off that narrow path of righteousness to get you to “stop and smell the roses” or to play among the “giggle weeds” to thwart any hopes of making the journey.
Romans 16:17 “I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.” This is why we see 40,000+ protestant religions along with the thousands false religions like Hindu, Muslim and so on.
Acts 20:24 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
We are called to STOMP OUT this false doctrine by the Word of God, not in timidity or fear, but boldly. Paul’s letters repeatedly tell us of the power of the word and our testimony against the dark forces and evil of this present age. The problem lies in the uneducated and unwilling masses, lethargic and limping through life. THIS MUST STOP!
I have heard the tempters and temptresses say “that guy or gal can really pray”, “I dont know the bible like so&so”, “yeah but Bob is a minister” these are apples thrown at the sheep. They are defeated thoughts whispered into their minds; others yearn to imitate the skillful orator and do so without instruction or discernment.
The Bible was written to people that did not possess computers, lexicons, concordances or dictionaries. It was written in languages barely more than grunts and written in stick figures. Yet they had several that took the time and diligence to invest their time to its study, reverence and application.
The term “missed the boat” is so easily rolled off the tongue and still we do not fully understand its meaning, as that is exactly the definition it is given. To honestly miss the boat is to miss the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.
The sheeple have been conditioned and trained to be too busy, told they were too stupid and held in bondage by the “educated” wolves and the time has come for the Shepherd to use his rod. Both on the wolf for his disobedience and the sheep for many have taken on the wolves practice and become the goats.
Matthew 25;31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.”
I pray Father for your grace and mercy upon us, your people whom you have called by name! We ask that You breathe a fresh fire into our souls for your never changing, always true, always redeeming Word. Write it on our hearts, fill our minds with its truth and may your Word flow off our tongue with rivers of Life giving waters! in Jesus and through your Holy Spirit, Amen.
