Revelation 2:1-7

Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus (“permitted” or “desirable”) write; These things saith he (Jesus/YHVH) that holdeth the seven stars (restrains the messengers) in his right hand, who walketh in the midst (can see their inner workings) of the seven golden candlesticks (of the churches) ;

I know thy works (actions), and thy labour (painful work), and thy patience, (endurance) and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried (tested, scrutinized) them which say they are apostles (ambassadors of Christ), and are not, and hast found them liars:

And hast borne (sustained), and hast patience (endurance), and for my name’s sake hast laboured (painful work), and hast not fainted. (to tire or quit)

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (the love of Jesus)

John 14:21 “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen (driven out of one’s course), and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (to have a change of mind and heart, i.e. to reconsider and relent.)

But this thou hast (possess), that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. He that hath an ear (mental adherence), let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh (gains control/victory) will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Nicolaitans, a sect that adheres to subjugating (i.e. dominating and ruling over) a people while outwardly professing Christianity. Nicolaitans in the day that John writes this, at the request of YHWH, are related or linked to the followers or practices of Balaam.

(Nikos = conquered / Laos = people/ Ton =the)

The meaning is to have the leadership of the church, gain a victory over the laity until they are compelled to submit to the dominion of men, which has become that thing which God hates.

Mark 7:5-13

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:

11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;

13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

The corporate churches of today have become places for the “busying” of people, who are about the works of “serving” people, their philosophical wants and needs and not about the teaching and making of disciples. The traditions and doctrines of men include pagan and occult traditions shrouded in mystic religions of history. It is through the repetitious indoctrination of these traditions of men that they will fall to the belief in antichrist.

Matthew 24:24 King James Version (KJV)

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.preacher-1905176_1280
