Is it Your way, the way of the Israelite, or Yah’s way? Part 1

Is it Your way, the way of the Israelite, or Yah’s way?
Since the beginning of creation YHVH has desired a specific trait in humanity, that being, set apart from the rest of the world and dedicated to YHVH.. It began with the creation of Adam on the 8th day, continued with the 8 Hebrews on the Ark, then calling of Abraham out of Ur and giving him the 8th day circumcision covenant.

Yeshua was crucified as our Passover lamb and rising as our First fruits, which are both feasts commanded by YHVH as “forever” and are a combined 8 day celebration. In these we can see the reason the number 8, sh’moneh in Hebrew, from the root shah’meyn “to make fat” or “to cover with fat” which means to super-abound.  It is the first of a new series; the 8th day is the beginning of a new series of days,   the number of salvation, resurrection, and new spiritual birth.

Ur is the source and origin for the pagan cultures that encompass the world. It was home to the Tower of Babel and where Satan’s earthly agent Nimrod, who desired to ascend to mountain of YHVH and take over Heaven, created sun-god (Satan) worship. When YHVH confused the language of the people the knowledge of sun-god worship now had gained 70 new names for the worship of Satan.

In many passages throughout the Bible the following associations are made about Satan: the serpent in Eden, Leviathan the sea monster, the dragon, “that ancient serpent”, “the god of this age”, the king of Babylon, the king of Tyre (Phoenicia), the king of Egypt (pharaoh), the father of lies, the prince of the power of the air, etc. In Isaiah 14 he is spoken of as the instigator of war in the heavens (space) by attempting to “ascend to the sides of the north” in order to seat himself upon the throne of God and thus to rule the universe. Thus he is the “lord of (the) rebellion” and “lord of the black void of the north”.
A short list of the Anti-Christ inspired sun-god names will include: Poseidon, Molech, Neptune, Zeus, Apollos, Ba’al, Beelzebub, Marduk, Dagon, Lotan, Drago, Sargon, Enki, Apsu, Abzu, Saturn, Mithra, Osiris, Ra, and Horus. One of these names or one of similar origin  are found in every country of the known world.

In keeping with the idea of a set apart people YHVH again separates His covenant people out from the Egyptians. The people of the covenant (or promise) of salvation were formerly known as Hebrews and direct descendants of the Adamic race have now added to their ranks people of many races. The leadership and the primary composition of the massive people group leaving Egypt are the family of the sons of Jacob. Because YHVH changed his name to Israel, these multigenerational offspring and the people groups desiring to learn about the powerful God they had witnessed in Egypt, are now called Israelites.

YHWH tells Moses in the Exodus that there is an equal opportunity to worship and serve Him. Exodus 12:49 “One law (instruction/Torah) shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.” This as well as Exodus 12:19 “Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.” Showing clearly the “gentile” people were welcome to join the congregation of YHVH provided they assimilated into the commands which YHVH had set before them.

As a member of the House of Israel, Joshua makes his declarative statement in 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, (these were the template for Nimrod’s sun-gods) or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve (observe Torah) the Lord.” YHVH is giving the people he had just saved from oppression, both natural born and sojourner, the option to choose.

In Ephesians 1:4-6  Paul tells us that YHVH had already made his choice: “According as he hath chosen us (all of humanity) in him before the foundation of the world, that we (all Israelites born and sojourning) should be holy (set apart) and without blame before him (unblemished in his sight) in love: Having predestined (already determined) us unto the adoption of children (to have humanity included in the House of Israel) by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

About Zacchaeus (an Israelite) in Luke 19:9-10 “And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation (1) come to this house (of Isreal) , forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham (Israelite). For the Son of man is come to seek and to save (2) that which was lost (3).”

  1. G4991 = Salvation from Moral Failure and Death into Eternal Life through the Anointed-One, Jesus (Yeshua)
  2. G4982 = deliver, protect
  3. G622 = set to perish

Matthew 10:5-7 “These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles (1), and into any city of the Samaritans (2) enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house (A) of Israel (B).  And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

  1. G1484 = races, tribes or nations or (b) pagans, nonbelievers of YHWH
  2. Worshipped both the God of the land and their own gods from the countries from which they came.
  3. G3624 = family
  4. G2474 = Israel (i.e. Yisrael), the adopted name of Jacob, including his descendants.

Jesus tells us of his specific purpose in Matthew 15:24 ” But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep (1)  of the house of Israel.”

  1. G4263 πρόβατον probaton (pro’-ɓa-ton) n.
    1. something that walks forward ; 2. flock, fold, members

In all 3 of these messages we see the redemptive work of Messiah set forth purposefully to the lost (those set to perish) sheep (flock, fold or members) of the House (family; either natural or sojourners) of Israel (The covenant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob)

In part 2 we will see the how we enter the House of Israel from the sojourners or Gentile perspective.
