2 Thessalonians 2

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

I find it fascinating that the modern day church uses these same Scriptures to preach a “fire and brimstone” message with a secret rapture that could snatch you up at any moment. Watch as Paul teaches the exact same thing Jesus teaches.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

• Matthew 24:3-5 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

• Isaiah 14:13-14 “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

• 1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

• Zechariah 6:5 “And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.”
• Revelation 7:1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.”
• Revelation 9:15 “And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.”

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

• Proverbs 10:30 “The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.”

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

• Malachi 2:6 “The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
• Psalm 119:142 “Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.“

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Here is where I might lose a few readers but this has to be said…. The strongest delusion ever is the organized religion as established by the Romans. Their claim that “Pan was Christianized” should be taken as sinister as it appears. They have attributed the power of Christ to their own god Pan.

This was common practice in the wake of their conquests. To convince the conquered nation that all gods are the same and that way they could have less chance of a resistance. It was always the “will of the gods” that they were conquered. Rome did the very same to the Israelites.

When Yeshua arrived in the flesh this is the exact world he entered into…. a world full of mixed paganism with the Talmudic Judaism (traditions of men) both overshadowing the truth of the Torah.

According to Catholic Answers at Catholic.com the following is stated with pride…. “It’s true that Christians no longer observe the Sabbath on Saturday; rather, we celebrate the Lord’s Day on Sunday. As the Catechism notes: “Those who lived according to the old order of things have come to a new hope, no longer keeping the sabbath”. This is PURE HERESY!

• Exodus 31:13-14 “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death:”
• Leviticus 16:31 “It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.”

Again look at the doctrine established by men. According to AskaCatholic.com:

• Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

• Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea, (336 A.D.) transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.

• Question: Why did the Catholic Church substitute Sunday for Saturday?

• Answer: The Church substituted Sunday for Saturday, because Christ rose from the dead on [Easter] Sunday, and the Holy Ghost descended upon the Apostles on a [Pentecost] Sunday.

So Mr. Dopey Pope…. you and your cronies are gonna thumb your nose at the Creator of the Universe telling Him that He screwed up the day of meeting? AND you want us to believe that you can justify that through your own edict… as Pentecost would not have ever happened on Sunday unless you are the one who changes it. PLUS the concept of Easter does not exist among the Scriptures. Easter, or its original name Ishtar, or one of the many pagan names like Estorte, Ashteroth or Minerva… is a Fertility Festival held for the pagan gods and goddesses.

• Deuteronomy 12:1-3 “These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the Lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.”

These still exist today, not just in seedy orgies, they are in the Amish community as “cornfield parties.”

The physical fornication is just one side of the unrighteousness the Bible addresses that the church is hype focused upon, completely dismissing their spiritual fornication. Spiritual fornication is the worship of anything other than YHVH. According to the website America The Jesuit Review ” In 1854, Pope Pius, in the apostolic constitution “Ineffabilis Deus,” infallibly defined as a divinely revealed dogma that the Blessed Virgin Mary was immaculately conceived.” This Pope openly created the worship of Mary, a human that is dead, on equal grounds of God Almighty! This is Necromancy and BLASPHEMY!!

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

• Romans 1:28-32 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Torah!

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions* which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

This word is G3862 παράδοσις paradosis (pa-ra’-d̮o-sis) and it is the combination of παρά para meaning very close and the word δίδωμι didomi (d̮iy’-d̮ō-miy) greatly modified by the connection, to offer up, grant, or shew

Paul is telling the Thessalonians that they should continue in the Feasts and gatherings as prescribed in the Scriptures as they teach the love of God that we are to display to others. That this activity creates a closer bond to God and to others. It is through living out the Feasts that we see the Salvation of Christ displayed in the Spring Feasts and the Redemption of man in the Fall Feasts.

16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word* and work*.

To the common “church” today the Torah is no longer binding upon them. Yet here Paul tells the Thessalonians that they should have the word and work. The Word has to mean Yeshua [John 1:1] so what does work mean? G2041 ἔργον ergon (er’-ğon) n. (by implication) an act. work (as an effort or occupation).

• Revelation 12:17 “And the dragon [Devil] was wroth [angry] with the woman,[Bride of Christ] and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
• Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

Finally, according to Got Answers website the question of the Catholic Church being the “Mother of all Churches” is answered thusly: “The Roman Catholic Church claims to have originated with Christ and the apostles and is therefore the oldest church and “mother” or head of all other churches, especially those in the Protestant tradition. Protestants and others are seen as children who have “strayed” from their mother and are admonished to return “home” to Catholicism.” Their own words not mine….

Revelation 17:1-5 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore [fornication] that sitteth upon many waters:[people] With whom the kings [leaders] of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk [overcome] with the wine [doctrine] of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman [church] was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup [sacrifice] in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
